The house has always taught the same sequence. Each step prepares the skin for the next, so that small amounts of a well-matched formulation do more than large amounts of the wrong one.

Our heritage

Three generations. One factory. One family name on every product.

Dr. Richard Eckstein began compounding preparations for delicate skin in 1949, working from a pharmacist's understanding of what skin can absorb and what it cannot. He founded the house with his wife, Linde Eckstein, whose name the parent company still carries.

The laboratory is still in Oberasbach, still family-owned, and still small enough that every batch carries the same name it did in 1949.

An independent family brand

The same family has owned and run Doctor Eckstein for three generations. Research, formulation and manufacture happen under one roof, so every decision is made by the people whose name is on the jar.

Science-driven formulation

A pharmacist founded the company, and that thinking still shapes it. Each active is chosen for a named skin condition, not because it is fashionable.

Made in Oberasbach, Germany

Everything is made at the company's own site near Nuremberg. Nothing is outsourced or licensed to anyone else, and production follows EU Good Manufacturing Practice.

Morenga Cosmetics brings Doctor Eckstein into South Africa as the authorised distributor. Our skin deals with high UV, dry highveld winters and humid coastal summers, so the range is matched here by skin condition — usually with a skin therapist who knows it well.
